Why Combine Coconut And Sesame Oil Into A Great Blend?
Because these two oils offer fantastic benefits to your diet but are almost unknown to the average person preparing meals. They help you:
- Lower Blood Pressure
- Raise HDL's
- Increase Energy
- Decrease Appetite
- Lower Blood Sugar
- Antioxidant Activity
Most cooks find it hard to use coconut oil because it is a solid at room temperature and you have to spoon it out of the container. This magic blend of coconut and sesame oil occurs at 90 degrees F and the two oils meld into a light golden oil that can be used for salads, shakes, or anywhere oil is used in cooking - or straight from the spoon as a medicine!
Coconut oil has been used for centuries as a vital source of food for health and general well being in traditional communities of the tropical regions. Medical research is in agreement that at least 30% of our daily nutritional intake should be made up of fats or oil. The choice of oil is extremely important - a recent headline screamed that omega-6 oils were a major contributor to depression and heart disease. The omega-6 oils are the unsaturated oils that everyone has been telling you to use for the last 5 decades. All the recent studies are proving that this was and is really the wrong advice!
Coconut oil has been given bad publicity because it contains a predominance of saturated fat. Those words (saturated fat) strike a horror chord in the hearts of most. But someone forgot to tell us that one saturated fat (lauric acid) is the most important essential fatty acid in building and maintaining the body's immune system! This maligned oil also has antiviral, antimicrobial, antibacterial and antiprotozoal properties.
Coconut oil is the richest source of medium chain triglycerides (MCT) known. MCT fatty acids help to stimulate metabolism, are a truly great source of energy for the cells (including brain cells) and at the same time act as an appetite suppressant.
If you want an inexpensive skin softener, there is none better than the combination of coconut and sesame - Cocame Oil!
SESAME OIL LOWERS BLOOD PRESSURE
WebMD Medical News
It's tasty. It's good for you. Now there is another sesame oil benefit - it lowers high blood pressure! Sesame oil contains two unique chemicals called sesamol and sesamin. These two are very powerful antioxidants. Some feel that the study results, which were presented at the Inter-American Society of Hypertension, a division of the American Heart Association, relied heavily on these two unique substances not found in other foods.
The study reported on 195 men and 133 women with high blood pressure, using blood pressure medications but still having high blood pressure. They were asked to switch to sesame oil as the only cooking oil used. Sixty days later, the patients average blood pressure was in the normal range! The effects were noted beginning in the third week of use of the sesame oil. All the researchers and the audience at the conference were amazed at the almost 100% favorable response in refractory blood pressure patients, without a new drug or anything but a simple oil.
